Pengantar Bilateral Meeting dengan Presiden Sri Lanka

Presiden Joko Widodo:
Your Excellency, President Wickremesinghe.

It is go to see you again, and thank you for your presence at this 10^th World Water Forum. I also appreciate Sri Lanka’s supports towards The Ministerial Declaration which will be adopted in this forum.

And before I continue, I invite Your Excellency to deliver your opening remarks.

Your Excellency,
I have come here at your request because Sri Lanka and Indonesia have been really close to each other since Sri Lanka gained its independence and Indonesia also became independent.

We worked together in organizing The Bandung Conference, and since then we had close cooperation between the two countries. It’s in that spirit that I have come here to take part in The 10^th World Water Forum.

It is also because we appreciate the work that Your Excellency has done globally, regionally, and strengthening the ties between our two countries. So I have come here also to say thank you for what you have done for Sri Lanka and Indonesia’s tie.

The topic of world water, and you have described it, is very important to us. And the fact that Indonesia has in fact sponsored the resolution on the finance is also important, but that seems to me the way in which we can raise resources of what is required in our part of the world.

So we appreciate The World Water Forum and the opening of the forum, and in this background that we have come here to participate in the summit which is important for Sri Lanka.
